The unique design of adjustable slit provides a 1:1 relationship between precision micrometer drive and slit width change, accurate to 0.01 mm. The actual width of the slit ranges from completely closed to 6mm, and it is adjusted by 0.5mm per revolution until the two blades contact when completely closed. However, due to the structural defects of the blade and the parallelism of the blade, when the slit width changes, the slit opening keeps the threaded through hole concentric.
